Een lener zoekt informatie over het uniform van Benito Mussolini. Ze maakt een werk voor school over mode en kledij in de geschiedenis. Ze zou graag informatie vinden over de eventuele ontwerper en/of maker van het uniform van Mussolini. Iemand een idee waar ik dit zou kunnen terugvinden?

Black shirt

"The black shirt traces its origins back to WW1, when it was worn by the Arditi ("the daring ones") - the Royal Italian Army's shock troops tasked with leading the first assault on the enemy (in this case, Austrian) lines. The soon-to-be-Duce was very impressed by them and made that shirt part of its paramilitary's uniform."

Garretto

Yet Garretto, like so many other young Italians, had been swept away by revolutionary fervor as well as the glamour of Benito Mussolini’s black-shirted legions. The only problem Garretto had was a sartorial one.

“I did not like the way they were all dressed up: they had only one common garment — the black shirt. As for the rest of their uniform, they wore anything they liked, such as long pants of any color. So I designed for myself a uniform that was all black — shirt, cavalry pants, and boots. My friends who liked the attire copied it. In fact, four of us, Mario and Carlo Ferrando, Aldo Placidi and me became known as the Musketeers.”

Dit boek gaat net over wat er naast die zwarte hemden nog in de mode was. Maar misschien staat er toch ook over de fascistische kostuums iets meer info in of een verwijzing naar andere bronnen.
